Positive self talk

gamblers lost money due to increasing the betting amount, because the probability is always the same, so cannot have poor money management, money management is most vital, don't suddenly up the bet, no logic.

learn from Uncle Lim more, but don't follow blindly, use my creativity to create new method.

Now is eternity, so focus on Now, how to fully utilise now, explosive. creativity and imagination is more important than knowledge.

how to be creativity ???

value, what value you can offer, what value people see in you, what value people attract to you. to avoid disappointment, don't expect too much from others.

How to increase your value ? how to add value to yourself ? you must do it, Yes I can.

Focus on Your Dream.

I am doing very important task now, Forex !

How to find a motivation factor ?????

Faith:

want perfection ? stupid, no perfection in this world, looking for stress and trouble, open the heart and accept anythings, be kind to yourself and others, be open don't sad and angry, take it easy.

love come from heart, feeling, don't come from talk, feel the love.

Emotion must use heart to feel not by speech

don't expect too much from others, lower your expectation on others. but have to set very high standard for myself. then I will strive hard to achieve it. because I can't control others, but I can control myself.

Finance:

in Forex when a sharp trend stop, careful and run.

no patient is my weakness in Forex, be slow and patient, wait for the right time to trade. wait for the trend to stop then trade.

“Control Your Own Destiny or Someone Else Will”

forgot about magic numbers or trend or streak, it is totally randomly independent, if you believe in it, it will destroy you.

in Roulette, if the luck is bad, stop after one loss, then try again, if lose again, stop again, try third times if lose again, stop again. don't force.

Discipline & Self Control

One block

my strategy is (stop after any lose)

bet $10 each on Roulette, if win (65% winning chance) +10

bet $10 each on Roulette, if win (44% winning chance) +10

bet $20 on baccarat if win (50% winning chance) +20

bet $20 on baccarat if win (25% winning chance) +20

when win $100, stop.
then start another block again, this time the target is lower to $50. If have time (weekend, Holiday), third target is $30.

struggle for long period, up down within a range, then wait for a big break.

Lessons:

not worth to hang on the contract for short term scalping trade, have profits must run.

no profits must hold.

must find money magt method for casino and forex, examples:
$10 x 2 = $20, then roulette bet $10 x2 and baccarat bet $20 per bet,
if roulette bet $20 x 2 = $40, then baccarat bet $40 per bet

for forex must find a trading amount, per how many contracts for every trade , what amount to take profits ???? when to run ???? must decide with strategy.

don't assume, just follow the chart.

follow long term plan better.

forex, don't rush in with additional contracts, wait for the right time, must study and learn and find out the timing to enter ????? don't rush in ????

for scalping, don't greedy.

which one is better, baccarat or roulette ????base on odds ?

baccarat, study the the money mgt and betting amount and betting frequency ????

draw lines for top middle and bottom, then bet accordingly. high range sell, middle trade, bottom buy.

Soros renamed his fund...Quantum Fund, in tribute to Heisenberg's uncertainty principle in quantum mechanics. That principle asserts that it is impossible to predict the behavior of subatomic particples in quantum mechanics, an idea that meshed with Soros's conviction that markets were always in a state of uncertainty and flux that it was possible to make money by discounting the obvious, and betting on the unexpected.

Loonie ascends

As David Rosenberg sees it, the loonie is now a global currency.

The chief economist at Gluskin Sheff + Associates was referring this week to a plan by the International Monetary Fund to include the Canadian and Australian dollars on a list of currencies in quarterly reports on the foreign exchange reserves held by central banks.

As central banks such as those in Russia and Switzerland add the loonie, as the dollar coin is known in Canada, a survey showed it was worth showing it separately, according to the IMF.Up until now, the composition of foreign exchanges reserves, or COFER, broke out the U.S. dollar, the euro, Japan's yen, Britain's pound and the Swiss franc. The Canadian and Aussie dollars fell in the "other" category. That's now likely to change next year, The Globe and Mail's Barrie McKenna reported this week.

"The Canadian dollar has actually become a de facto global currency as foreign central banks have been increasingly loading up loonies as part of their reserve portfolios, reflecting Canada's growing importance in the global economy as well as prudent monetary policy, a truly triple-A sovereign rating and a pro-business majority government," Mr. Rosenberg said yesterday.

"However, this move will go beyond symbolism as it will make official the Canadian dollar as international reserves, and the status upgrade from the IMF will certainly boost more global diversification into Canada, which will further strengthen the CAD value in our view - especially if in the next review of the SDR (Special Drawing Rights) basket, the Canadian dollar and the Aussie dollar are included," he added, referring to the loonie by its symbol.

Canada has been drawing in foreign money in a post-crisis era of investors looking for havens, which has helped buoy the currency, to the dismay of the country's exporters. That's not expected to end soon.

"Global investors share the IMF’s optimism: Over the past couple of years, investors wary of the euro zone's outlook have stepped up purchases of Canadian debt securities," said Bodhi Ganguli of Moody's Analytics.

"Nonresidents have acquired $55.8-billion of Canadian debt securities in the first nine months of 2012, on par with the same period in 2011. This trend is expected to continue over the near term."

Just sayin’In the text of a speech to the Toronto Board of Trade today, Jim Flaherty referred five times to “our children and grandchildren.”

Like this: “We simply cannot afford to risk the future of our children and grandchildren by running deficits longer than necessary. “

Which leads to remind the Finance Minister of what Statistics Canada said about our children and grandchildren earlier this month: “Employment among youths was little changed for the second consecutive month and was down by 52,000 (-2.1 per cent) compared with 12 months earlier. Their unemployment rate was 14.7 per cent in October.”

According to cognitive psychologist Robert J. Sternberg, creativity can be broadly defined as "...the process of producing something that is both original and worthwhile." Creativity is all about finding new ways of solving problems and approaching situations. This isn't a skill restricted to artists, musicians or writers; it is a useful skill for people from all walks of life. If you've ever wanted to boost your creativity, these tips can help.

1. Commit Yourself to Developing Your Creativity

The first step is to fully devote yourself to developing your creative abilities. Do not put off your efforts. Set goals, enlist the help of others and put time aside each day to develop your skills.

2. Become an Expert

One of the best ways to develop creativity is to become an expert in that area. By having a rich understanding of the topic, you will be better able to think of novel or innovative solutions to problems.

3. Reward Your Curiosity

One common roadblock to developing creativity is the sense that curiosity is an indulgence. Rather than reprimanding yourself, reward yourself when you are curious about something. Give yourself the opportunity to explore new topics.

4. Realize that Creativity is Sometimes Its Own Reward

While rewarding yourself is important, it is also important to develop intrinsic motivation Sometimes, the true reward of creativity is the process itself, not the product.

5. Be Willing to Take Risks

When it comes to building your creative skills, you need to be willing to take risks in order to advance your abilities. While your efforts may not lead to success every time, you will still be boosting your creative talents and building skills that will serve you well in the future.

6. Build Your Confidence

Insecurity in your abilities can suppress creativity, which is why it is important to build confidence. Make note of the progress you have made, commend your efforts and always be on the lookout for ways to reward your creativity.

7. Make Time for Creativity

You won't be able to develop your creative talents if you don't make time for them. Schedule some time each week to concentrate on some type of creative project.

8. Overcome Negative Attitudes that Block Creativity

According to a 2006 study published in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, positive moods can increase your ability to think creatively. According to Dr. Adam Anderson, senior author of the study, "If you are doing something that requires you be creative or be in a think tank, you want to be in a place with good mood." Focus on eliminating negative thoughts or self-criticisms that may impair your ability to develop strong creative skills.

9. Fight Your Fear of Failure

The fear that you might make a mistake or fail in your efforts can paralyze your progress. Whenever you find yourself harboring such feelings, remind yourself that mistakes are simply part of the process. While you may occasionally stumble on your path to creativity, you will eventually reach your goals.

10. Brainstorm to Inspire New Ideas

Brainstorming is a common technique in both academic and professional settings, but it can also be a powerful tool for developing your creativity. Start by suspending your judgment and self-criticism, then start writing down related ideas and possible solutions. The goal is to generate as many ideas as possible in a relatively short span of time. Next, focus on clarifying and refining your ideas in order to arrive at the best possible choice.

11. Realize That Most Problems Have Multiple Solutions

The next time to approach a problem, try looking for a variety of solutions. Instead of simply going with the first idea you have, take the time to think of other possible ways to approach the situation. This simple activity is a great way to build both your problem-solving and creative thinking skills.

12. Keep a Creativity Journal

Start keeping a journal to follow your creative process and track the ideas you produce. A journal is a great way to reflect back on what you have accomplished and look for other possible solutions. This journal can be used to save ideas that can later serve as future inspiration.

13. Create a Mind Map

A mind map is a great way to connect ideas and look for innovative answers to questions. Create a mind map by writing down a central topic or word. Next, link related terms or ideas around the central word. While similar to brainstorming, this technique allows for branching ideas and offers a very visual way of seeing how these ideas are linked.

14. Challenge Yourself

Once you have developed some basic creative skills, it is important to continually challenge yourself in order to further advance your abilities. Look for more difficult approaches, try out new things and avoid always using the same solutions you have used in the past.

15. Try the "Six Hats" Technique

The "six hats" technique involves looking at a problem from six differing perspectives. By doing this, you can produce more ideas than you might have had you only looked at the situation from one or two points of view.

Red Hat: Look at the situation emotionally. What do your feelings tell you?

White Hat: Look at the situation objectively. What are the facts?

Yellow Hat: Use a positive perspective. Which elements of the solution will work?

Black Hat: Use a negative perspective. Which elements of the solution won’t work?

Green Hat: Think creatively. What are some alternative ideas?

Blue Hat: Think broadly. What is the best overall solution?

16. Look for Sources of Inspiration

Never expect creativity to just happen. Look for new sources of inspiration that will give you fresh ideas and motivate you to generate unique answers to questions. Read a book, visit a museum, listen to your favorite music or engage in a lively debate with a friend. Utilize whatever strategy or technique works best for you.

17. Create Opportunities for Creativity

In addition to looking for inspiration, you also need to create your own opportunities for creativity. This might involve tackling a new project or finding new tools to use in your current projects.

18. Consider Alternative Scenarios

When approaching a problem, utilize "what if..." questions to consider each possible scenario. If you take a specific approach, what will the outcome be? By looking at these alternatives beforehand, you'll be better able to develop creative solutions to problems.

19. Create a Flow Chart

When you are developing a new project, start by creating a flow chart to track the presentation of the project from start to finish. Look for various paths or sequences of events that might occur. A flow chart can help you visualize the final product, eliminate potential problems and create unique solutions.

20. Try the Snowball Technique

Have you ever noticed how one great idea often leads directly to another? You can take advantage of this by utilizing a "snowball technique" when you are generating ideas for your project. If the idea isn't appropriate for your current work, set it aside to work on later or implement it in a future project.

Everyone is creative: we can all innovate given time, freedom, autonomy, experience to draw on, perhaps a role model to emulate and the motivation to get on with it.

But there are times when even the most creative person gets bored, starts going round in circles, or hits a cul-de-sac. So here are 7 unusual creativity boosters that research has shown will increase creativity:
1. Psychological distance

People often recommend physical separation from creative impasses by taking a break, but psychological distance can be just as useful.

Participants in one study who were primed to think about the source of a task as distant, solved twice as many insight problems as those primed with proximity to the task.

◊ For insight: Try imagining your creative task as distant and disconnected from your current location. This should encourage higher level thinking.
2. Fast forward in time

Like psychological distance, chronological distance can also boost creativity.

Forster et al. (2004) asked participants to think about what their lives would be like one year from now. They were more insightful and generated more creative solutions to problems than those who were thinking about what their lives would be like tomorrow.

Thinking about distance in both time and space seems to cue the mind to think abstractly and consequently more creatively.

◊ For insight: Project yourself forward in time; view your creative task from one, ten or a hundred years distant.
3. Absurdist stimulation

The mind is desperate to make meaning from experience. The more absurdity it experiences, the harder it has to work to find meaning.

Participants in one study read an absurd short story by Franz Kafka before completing a pattern recognition task. Compared with control participants, those who had read the short story showed an enhanced subconscious ability to recognise hidden patterns.

◊ For insight: read Alice in Wonderland, Kafka's Metamorphosis, or any other absurdist masterpiece. Absurdity is a 'meaning threat' which enhances creativity.
4. Use bad moods

Positive emotional states increase both problem solving and flexible thinking, and are generally thought to be more conducive to creativity. But negative emotions also have the power to boost creativity.

One study of 161 employees found that creativity increased when both positive and negative emotions were running high. They appeared to be using the drama in the workplace positively.

◊ For insight: negative moods can be creativity killers but try to find ways to use them—you might be surprised by what happens.
5. Combining opposites

Interviews with 22 Nobel Laureates in physiology, chemistry, medicine and physics as well as Pulitzer Prize winning writers and other artists has found a surprising similarity in their creative processes (Rothenberg, 1996).

Called 'Janusian thinking' after the many-faced Roman god Janus, it involves conceiving of multiple simultaneous opposites. Integrative ideas emerge from juxtapositions, which are usually not obvious in the final product, theory or artwork.

Physicist Niels Bohr may have used Janusian thinking to conceive the principle of complementarity in quantum theory (that light can be analysed as either a wave or a particle, but never simultaneously as both).

◊ For insight: set up impossible oppositions, try ridiculous combinations. If all else fails, pray to Janus.
6. Path of most resistance

When people try to be creative they usually take the path of least resistance by building on existing ideas. This isn't a problem, as long as you don't mind variations on a theme.

If you want something more novel, however, it can be limiting to scaffold your own attempts on what already exists. The path of most resistance can lead to more creative solutions.

◊ For insight: because it's the path of least resistance, every man and his dog is going up and down it. Try off-road.
7. Re-conceptualisation

People often jump to answers too quickly before they've really thought about the question. Research suggests that spending time re-conceptualising the problem is beneficial.

Mumford et al. (1994) found that experimental participants produced higher quality ideas when forced to re-conceive the problem in different ways before trying to solve it. Similarly a classic study of artists found that those focused on discovery at the problem-formulation stage produced better art.

◊ For insight: forget the solution for now, concentrate on the problem. Are you asking the right question?
Everyday creativity

Despite all the high falutin talk of Nobel Prize winners and artists, all of these methods can be applied to everyday life.

Combining opposites, choosing the path of most resistance, absurdism and the rest can just as easily be used to help you choose a gift for someone, think about your career in a new way or decide what to do at the weekend. 'Off-duty' creativity is just as important, if not more so, than all that 'serious' creativity.
