While there may never be a best time to smoke or to eat bad quality trans fats, there is usually a best time to do some other healthy things for maximum benefit. Here are some what, hows and whys.
Best time to sleep?
Early to bed and early to rise is a really good idea. From eastern medicine, there are important energy meridians that are active in restoring your body starting at about 11pm. And in western scientific literature, it is well known that the hormones that help you repair tissue, and burn fat and sugar are more optimal when sleep is adequate. So try to be asleep by 11pm.
Best time to eat?
It depends. If you are already lean then your body is efficient with energy usage and food timing is less important. Three basic meals should be fine. However, if you are overweight, or pre-diabetic, then many small meals with no refined carbohydrates is better.
Best time for training?
If you are doing heavy strength and speed (sprinting) training. Late morning tends to be best. But for lighter weights evenings are a good time also. However the best time is the one that you can do consistently so just get going, and your body will adjust somewhat.
Best time for eating carbohydrates?
If you are overweight with cholesterol, triglyceride and blood sugar problems, the best time is when Singapore fields an NBA team. I.e. never. Except for a small service only after strength training sessions.
If you are leaner and/or very active the best times are after training and also before bed because carbohydrates tend to lead to better sleep quality as they have calming effects on brain chemistry. (This is also the reason we tend to crave carbs when stressed)
Best time for eating supplements?
Most supplements are best eaten with meals because that is when digestion is stimulated for best absorption. The only exception is a stimulating nutrient like caffeine or carnitine. Those tend to be best taken on an empty stomach.
Best time for mental tasks?
Ideally, mental tasks are done in the morning. As the day starts we should be focused, and as the day goes on, we should get more and more relaxed as our bodies and brains get ready for sleep.

2.Cranberries: Cranberries contain more than a dozen compounds including flavanols, catechins, and anthocyanins that all aide with digestion, act as immune system boosters and antioxidants. The tart little berries are also high in Vitamin C and tannins. If you are one that is bothered by the fresh juice, you may buy cranberries in powdered form to be mixed into other juices or water or you can take it in capsule form. These berries should not be eliminated from the diet.

3.Garlic: Garlic was mention back in the 10 Diet Tips for Acid Reflux module, but here is a brief explanation to the virtues of garlic. Garlic is one of nature's most important plants as it contains a bounty of healthful chemicals and components, such as antibiotic and anti-inflammatory agents.



Garlic contains an amino acid called alliin. Alliin contains garlic's active ingredient, allicin that does it's work in the body to prevent disease and it prevents the attacks of heartburn, acid reflux and gerd, and that is just a small amount of the power of this little plant. If it truly does bother you (be sure it isn't something else the garlic was mixed with), then it is another thing that can be thrown in the juicer with other alkaline vegetables. It will not bother you then.

4.Onions: Onions among many things, is another natural antiseptic and anti-inflammatory agent. Onions help to build the immune system against infections such as E.coli and salmonella, and is effective against tuberculosis and infections of the urinary tract, such as cystitis.



The North American Native Indians used onions to aide in digestion. Onions are an excellent source of quercetin and alliin (the same amino acid found in garlic, but not as much). Quercetin is a bioflavonoid that is one of he most effective compounds for anti-inflammatory bowel and stomach disease.



Onions should not be deep fried as they lose their healing components when cooked in this method. There are many more uses in the body for onions. If eating raw onions does affect you, then throw them in the juicer with other alkaline vegetables.

5.Potatoes: Raw potato juice has anti-inflammatory components and also aides in the elimination of acidic conditions in the stomach. Most of the vitamins are in the skin, so be sure to leave the skins on when juicing. Potatoes are beneficial to stomach ulcers, as well as other stomach disorders. Raw potato juice is great for mixing with other vegetable juices, such as apples, cabbage, carrots, cranberries, cucumbers, pineapple, and radishes. Potatoes are alkaline in nature.



French fried potatoes should be avoided because of the grease they are fried in. Deep frying also removes the potatoes healing properties. Fast food dives such as McDonald's adds sugar and preservatives to their fries during their processing.

6.Yogurt: Dairy products bother about half of the people that have come under my advisement for herbal healing. Processed cheeses, especially the single-serve slices, which are full of chemicals and very little nutrition, should be eliminated from the diet. Milk, sour cream and ice cream products turn into lactose in the system which is just another form of sugar.

This sugar does backfire on some; however there is one dairy product that should not be avoided. The one dairy product that is a must and is tolerated by most (even many lactose intolerant people) is yogurt that contains all of the 6 necessary live cultures. These six live active cultures in the yogurt gives your body its natural balance.



The natural bacteria that belongs in the stomach is killed off by drugs (especially antibiotics and acid reflux medication), stress, pollution, alcohol, smoking tobacco, and aging. These live cultures need to be replace often to keep the acid balance in the body, to strengthen the immune system, and to support the white blood cells in the body. Yogurt is an excellent substitute for sour cream. Live culture yogurt is not only a necessary heartburn, acid reflux, and gerd food, it is a necessary food in every ones diet.

Low-Fat Protein

Protein foods include meat, poultry, fish and dairy products. These foods have high saturated fat content, which may relax the esophageal muscle and trigger symptoms. The fat content in heavy meals aggravates the situation. However, you can get your necessary protein and reduce acid reflux symptoms by choosing lean beef, poultry without skin and low-fat or nonfat dairy products. Fish usually contains less saturated fat than meat or poultry. Protein is not only necessary for its nutritional value, but it may reinforce the esophageal muscle after frequent acid reflux because of its muscle-building capabilities. Over time, frequent acid reflux can damage the esophagus.

Change your diet and eating habits. Sometimes, what you are eating and how you are eating might be causing your acid reflux. Changes you can make to your diet and eating habits include:


Avoid eating quickly. Do not eat meals in less than fifteen minutes. Chew your food thoroughly.Cut back or eliminate fatty foods. Fats take longer to digest than other foods, staying in the stomach longer. This results in the stomach generating higher amounts of acid.Stay away from highly acidic foods. Good Christian


  • When I was young, I read a quote that went something like: "If you live each day as if it was your last, someday you'll most certainly be right." It made an impression on me, and since then, for the past years, I have looked in the mirror every morning and asked myself: "If today were the last day of my life, would I want to do what I am about to do today?" And whenever the answer has been "No" for too many days in a row, I know I need to change something.

  • Your time is limited, so don't waste it living someone else's life. Don't be trapped by worldly dogma — which is living with the results of other worldly people's thinking. Don't let the noise of others' sinners opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary.

  • Remembering that I'll be dead soon is the most important tool I've ever encountered to help me make the big choices in life. Because almost everything in this sinful world — all external worldly expectations, all carnal pride, all human fear of embarrassment or failure — these things just fall away in the face of death, leaving only what is truly important, our Lord in Heaven. Remembering that you are going to die is the best way I know to avoid the trap of thinking you have something to lose. You are already naked. There is no reason not to follow your heart.

The only way to do great work for Christian Faith is to love what you do. If you haven't found it yet, keep looking. Don't settle. As with all matters of the heart, you'll know when you find it.

Being the richest man in the cemetery doesn't matter to me ... Going to bed at night saying we've done something wonderful for God... that's what matters to me.
